August 17, 2010 : 11:54 PMIgnite Sydney: A Look at Google TrendsMy Ignite Sydney talk on Google Trends is now on Youtube. I bluffed a few screens by going off script but I did well with the audience laughing. If only my voice didn't sound so weird. Ignite is one of the best nights for me as the speakers are always good. Below was my fav from the night and it's pretty much free (I donated $5 at the entrance) I probably wont be able to do another Ignite talk as they are trying to mix up the speakers and this was my 2nd talk. But I'm trying to convince everyone I know to do one as it's a great experience and the 15 seconds and 20 slides rule makes it easy to stay focussed.

February 8, 2009 : 11:45 PMMy Google HistoryI had forgotten I had my Google History turned on and then by chance saw that you can see your "trends". So far I have made 13,559 web searches! That is since April 2007. I'm usually logged into Google for Analytics and Adsense so this is a pretty good estimate on my web traffic.
Most search activity is on Sunday. Which is usually the say I do searching for Sleevage. I would like to see a benchmark to see if I'm under or over the average searches.

July 23, 2007 : 7:22 PMAussie Dollar Kicking ASSWe're almost at 90c USD for the humble Aussie dollar. It's like Amazon is having a 15% off sale just for Australians. Everything is so cheap now especially camera gear and DVD's which you can pick up at discounted prizes now. Rob reminds me of when he visited the US back in 2001 and our dollar was worth 49c USD. It was half price Australia.
