Pawnatior 2000

f5bdebddfee30be3c53cffa8b860d417, View my Flickr stream here.

With the ability to export a jpeg from a flash file now a reality, I have taken up the mission to export all the Build Your Own entries we received a while back (and are still receiving) for the Saveyourself site we build for 20th Century Fox.

We had 1,500 robots, 12,000 weapons and 4,000 converse shoes.
We're still getting about 20-50 weapons exported each day, 2 years after it's launch

I have to leave a computer on with a flash file pumping this out overnight as it takes around 10 seconds to export and save each one. Multiply that by almost 20,000 and we're in for the long haul.

The entries range from the lazy (1-2 items just testing) to the extreme like the one above. It must have taken 20 or so minutes to do this.

It's goes to show that people like to create things. We did this competition back in 2004. Well before the "consumer generated content" trend was um.... trendy.

I've also created a Soap Creative flickr account. I'm not sure why I didnt do this already. So instead of flooding my Flickr account with BBQ photos and work stuff I can post it on a dedicated Flickr account.
