Talking at Online Open day in Perth

family2.0.gif

I did a talk on "kick ass" examples of online advertising yesterday in Perth, Western Australia at an event called Online Open Day. There were around 150 people which seemed to be mostly clients with a few agency peopel thrown in.

I was in the middle of other more research based talks with lots of charts and data which made it easy to stand out. Also I was just presenting other peoples work (all examples from Bannerblog's archives) so I didn't have to do much thinking just selection.

This is the second talk of this kind, the first I did for Eyeblaster at their educational day, and it went pretty well. I hope this will flow onto increase readership of Bannerblog and even if lucky a few pieces of work from the crowd on the day.

While I'm no Anthony Robbins I am getitng the hang of speaking to large crowds. It'd be easier if I had to do the same talk multiple times as then you could get the timing and jokes right but sadly the industry here is too small to do repeat shows.
