May 23, 2004 : 7:35 PMDodgey DVD'sDB lent me a whole heap of dodgy DVD's from Bali and what I have realised is that my tolerance for shit quality sound and video is quiet high. Rob, on the other hand, demands VHS quality of better or he won't watch it. I on the other hand, in an effort to see movies earlier and also save money, will site through almost anything. Dodgy DVD's have saved me the money and hassle of seeing XXX and Eight Legged Freaks in the cinema. These DVD's are better than the old VCD's and don't require you to swap discs half way through. Ahh the good old days. I think the only movies I would not see on a Dodgy DVD are movies like LOTR. Where the cinema experience adds a lot to the movie. Movies like First 50 Dates don't need a 12 Foot screen or 5:1 sound. Movies Seen: Hellboy, Starsky and Hutch, Sex and the City Final Season Posted at May 23, 2004 : 7:35 PM

I would be inclined to agree (having seen 'Fifty First Dates' in a similar fashion) yet 'Kill Bill: Part 2' certainly demands more theatrical attention.
