Class of Life Experience

I think at highschool there should be a new class called 'Life Experiences' which basically is a compulsory class they prepares kids for the real world.

Yeah Ancient History is great but what good is it when you are living by yourself trying to pay rent and study. Jack all!

So here's a rough draft of the class breakdown & suggested lessons. Feel free to suggest more.

1: Cooking
Which includes lessons such as; Microwave Cookery 101, Jaffle Iron Wonders and Reheating Rules for Takeout.

2: Food:
Lessons include: Keeping a clean fridge, Vegetable & Fruit Selection Guide (with pocket handbook), Grocery Shopping for a weeks worth of Meals

3: Money:
Which includes: How to Budget, Getting a Job, Bank Loans 101, how to haggle for a bargin, paying bills , toilet paper (cost per roll) formula and Credits Cards.


4: Clothing Maintenence:
Which includes: How to iron, how to fold like a store clerk, clean towel rotation roster, washing machine basics,

5: Home Life:
Lesons Include: Renting The Complete Guide, Share house Rules, connecting a phone, Neighbours, Everything you needed to know about the Garbage Bin, Changing those scented toilet things and vacuuming (the Neccesary Evil)

6: Everything Else:
Includes:


  • - A list of Kitchen, bathroom and bedroom supplies that you probably don't own but will need too.

  • - Guide to making friends in key positions for free stuff, ie The Supermarket Deli Friend & The Video Shop Attendant Friend. Includes mountable wall chart.
