Font Fun

Being the ULTRA OSX nerd i am i decided to make my OS faster by removing the asian fonts and all those other unused fonts from the 3 font folders in my system. In theory inproving the speed considerably.

What i did was stuff my system so it wouldnt boot.

The most advanced operating system doesnt work without a few fonts.

bahh

i have since learnt my lesson.

101 Happy Snaps

I have done 101 New Happy Snaps for 2003. It's been too long since and update and i have a whole stockpile of photos.

I have done this version in flash to save myself the hassle of HTML and JS nightmares. Only drawback is you need flash 6. Enhancements is that it fades between photos. WOW, thats worth a plug-in download alone.

Australia winning against England is good news for Shane Warne who made a big mistake by taking drugs. Great if Ian Thorpe is using drugs too then we can just kiss our reputation in sport goodbye. I'd rather see Warne in a sex scandal again.

Also its a big week for biz as companies make there half yearly profit reports. EBIT is something im begining to understand now.

And the ever present Iraq war makes for solid news. I read that the human shield people who were to drive a bus to Bahgdad but they seem to have hit a snag by in fighting and people getting side tracked by sightseeing on the way.

I still havent received my terrorist handbook either.

The Office

I was sent the 1st series of The Office (form BBC) on DVD and enjoyed it greatly. It's kinda like the Frontline, Spinal Tap and Office Space mixed together in a good way.

For those that havent seen it i heard they are selling it at HMV in Australia and also it'll be on the ABC soon. So get the viedo and feel cool cause you have seen it and not many others have. You'll get more cred than wearing an Andre the Giant (Obey) T-Shirt

DVD ROT

FOr those that have huge DVD collections this is a worrying artical on DVD Rot

Its like the CDR's that say they can last 100 years but this is only under test conditions and CD's havent been around for 100 years to really test.

So what you might find it that all your DVD will turn to POO in 5 years and there is little you can do. Has anyone got a DVD thats 5 years old? Have DVD's been out that long.

Circus OZ

I went and saw Circus Oz last night and it was great. A very cool production and, judging by the way the little kid in front of me was going ballastic, great for kids too.

The main guy with the Midi Juggling pads was really cool. I didn't realise till the end that the Boy Scout guy, the BMX dude and him were all new to circus OZ. They were the best of the show.

So if your in Melbourne you should check them out.
