May 30, 2002: May 30, 2002DC Heroes & VillansWhat's wrong with Professor X's head. It's like a bashed up potatoe. This is a comprehensive list of all DC characters. I like comparing the stats of the heroes. Dare Devil has lame stats. But has cool name and costume. MMmmmm She-Hulk She looks like a Zentrodi from Robotech Cafe CityCafe City (an italian cafe on Parramatta Road) is right behind my house. And one day it closed down without warning. It closed so fast they still had the gelati in the fridge for 3 weeks. It just sites there with a "closed until further notice" sign on it. I think the tell tale sign they were going under was when they stopped serving the Arribiata. Cutting back on the menu is a sure sign Whats wierd though is that they have been closed down for almost 2 mths now but they are still advertising in Cinemas. Do you order cinema ads that far ahead?? Also whats with the the Bronte Gormet Tongues cinema advertising????. MMMM people are sitting there eating popcorn and lollies and suddenly they are meant to be tempted with Tongues in Jelly. Spidey ManI am currently weighing up my opetions to steal a spiderman poster. I am also stuck on the second leve of Sipderman 2 the game on PSX. I had all the damn coloured keys but nothing happened. That shits me :) This is a Magazinethisisamagazine.com is not only well designed but also well coded. I really like it when people use flash and make it function well. Star Wars 2I finally got to see the second episode. And yeah the yoda fight scene is great. In fact the CGI for him was very well done. The clone army of New Zealand accented fighters kinda scares me too. The Clones would have an awesome rugby team Well hardly any Jar Jar Binks in this sp but a whole heap of loves scenes that seemed unnecessary. I mean one would have been enough. Still I didn't mind seeing the stiffy nipples of Natalie Portman Why is it called attack of the clones when the clones actually save the day. I guess it's hinting at what happens in Ep3. Also right now everything is robots and clones. Yet in Ep4 it's all star troopers and manned units. Again I'd say all will be conveniently revealed in Ep3 May 28, 2002: May 28, 2002CheapDo you buy the 59c bar of soap and get a rash or the $1.99 Soap and feel clean? Doesn't matter how much you try to tell people that it's not a price issue but a quality issue most people would use the 59c soap. These are the same people who buy the cheap chinese food in the food court near closing time and wonder how they ever got such a bargin. sixfeetunderChannel 9 have done the smart thing and slipped in Season 2 of Six Feet Under while keeping the strong viewership. The show has been a late bloomer. I think with the them song re-mix making Triple J and word spreading about this kookey show, the ratings have been going up and up. Channel 9 would have lost them all and potential fans by ending the first season and then waiting to buy the 2nd. Australia is now into the second series with no mention of the chnage. This is in stark contrast to how they treat viewers of friends and Sex and the City who have established fans and can sit through 6 mths of re-runs. Still it's nothing like Channel 10 and the Simpsons, who believe that we will continue to sit through re-runs with the odd new spisode here and there. Channel 10 you dirty bastards. Give us Futurama!!!!! New Camera!!!!I have sent off the money for my new camera. It's only been 1 month without a camera and I feel I haven't documented so much. I went to the back part of the Harbour Bridge and felt so bad not being able to take photos. May 27, 2002: May 27, 2002Missing the BusThere's nothing worse than missing your bus late at night. You know the next one wont arrive for another hour and it's very cold. Seeing someone run in vein to catch the bus, only to have it pull out just as the reach the back isn't as funny as I would have thought. I actually felt kinda sorry for the guy. More empathy really. If only I fumbled with my bus ticket for 10 seconds, he would have got on. Which brings me to another thought. What happened to Beaded Seat Covers. They were everywhere 6 years ago and now you can't find them anywhere. Well a few die hard taxi drivers may still have them. I can't even remember the appeal. My mum had one and I always took it off. I think they went out of style with Masseuse sandals. May 25, 2002: May 25, 2002Moving AgainI have been told to move out as the owner of my unit wants in. Having only moved Sept 11th last year, it's kind of annoying having to move again so quickly. What's worse is I just replaced the battery in the firealarm and now the owner won't have to do this for another 3 years. I think I'm gonna change it back. May 24, 2002: May 24, 2002TeachingI taught 2 class yesterday for nearly 5 hrs striaght at KVB, my old school. It was interesting see what the students said they had learnt, then finding out they didn't even know the very basics. ie we learnt preloaders in flash but i don't know what a variable is. I may not have prepared notes or a PHD in teaching, but at least i realise you start out with the easy stuff first. I just need one of those jackets with the leather elbows to feel really cool. May 23, 2002: May 23, 2002GarudaI'm addicted to the Garuda Chilli covered peanuts. Pringles haven't got anything on these little babies. Shib is also addicted, but i'm sorry I'm currently eating the packet I set aside for you.

Makes around 1.25 L of Purple Goo May 22, 2002: May 22, 2002A Fresh StartI have changed Blog provioders to Movabletype Which now means you can once again add comments to posts. I am slowly freezing here in Sydney winter I'm finding it hard to type as my hands are numb. I think I better put socks on May 19, 2002: May 19, 2002Senior Hamburger hahahahah classic stuff.hahahahah classic stuff. I ofund the link off yipyop which is great. Check the biscuit theatre. Very funny May 18, 2002: May 18, 2002Australia has a policy ofAustralia has a policy of SKilled Migration. Basically it means that if you have a skill that Australia requires you can apply for a visa using your trade. They award points for every trade and ones needed mroe are awarded higher points. So im thinking Dentist, doctor, nurse etc etc would all be high. And yes they are. But it realyl gets wierd on this page What this means is that australia is in dire need for piano tuners, hair dressers, picture framers, Buttermaker or Cheesemakers, to name a few. It seems we also need gunsmiths and black smiths. So if you are student wishing to live in Australia i wouldn't worry about anything web/design related as there's no way you are getting in. You should put the hard yards in and become a Cheese Maker or hairdresser as that's what this country really needs. One of the best gamesOne of the best games I have played. Well worth the 1MB even if you are on 56k like me. Well built, illustrated and designed. With nice sound too. (or originals if you happen to have money to spare) He is also doing a book singing at Arial in Paddington on the 10th. I haven't been this excited for ages about an art show. May 03, 2002: May 3, 2002MMM also found this collectionMMM also found this collection of crappy DVD designs The poster generally do look better. It's a shame they have to relay on "star power" when it comes to DVD/video covers May 01, 2002: May 1, 2002Yes that's exactly what IYes that's exactly what I thought a splot was. And in true internet form Splot.com The Splot portal. Check back tomorrow for more exciting word fun :) I love the soundtrack toI love the soundtrack to requiem for a dream. Very powerful in a powerful movie. And if you are like me and didnt know what requiem means. Or even how to spell it, why not visit Dictionary.com The DVD version of the film has alot of great extras, yet no subtitles for english. I asked Rob the otherI asked Rob the other day why he had his stereo on "demo mode" and hasn't turned it off. (Demo mode is used when it's for sale and all the light flash and text scrolls on the display to make the stereo look more attractive.) Rob said "Nah, thats how it is" It took me a little while but I found the demo button and finally turned the Las Vegas style lights off. The stereo was 5 years old |
