Having not read the book, and fallen asleep near the end watching the cartoon, I guess they stayed pretty close to the original story from what I know of it.

I heard someone on Triple J refering to it as the most boring movie this year and that they shouldn't just make movies for fans. I guess people just like to feel cool by knocking what everyone is raving about

The entire city of Sydney

The entire city of Sydney is covered in smoke. Yesterday one side of the horizon was blanketed with smoke and now I can't see the city from my place due to smoke.

I visited a friend in Liverpool (way out west) and everything was orange.

To top off all these bushfired circling Syndey the national raod toll reached 23 today. What better way to celebrate christmas than to kill yourself and others by drink driving or speeding. Ahhh the festivities.

As for my christmas day I had alot of fun up at Surry Hills helping out at the Wesly Mission. Although in the kitchen I was demoted to just putting the parsley on the plate :) as I was too slow on the gravey.

I tried to think up some nice social commentry or a hard hitting political message, to go will all the photos I have of Sydneys homeless. I thought showing the homless people in Christmas hats would make people think hard about the issue and realise that durong christmas these poeple are even more alone.

If you feel sad from seeing these images, good, then maybe do something about it. Give some food (not the tinned sardines in the cuboard) to one of the missions around your city. Or ring The Smith Family and make a generous donation.

You will see myself and Shibu at the Wesly Mission feeding the homeless on Christmas Day.

I went to the Planet

I went to the Planet X games at Homebush Stadium on Saturday night and had a great time. Even though we missed the motor cross I saw all the BMX and Seth Enslow's jump. Well Seth was an anti-climax.

Things learnt from the Planet X games:
