ok, so it's sad that

ok, so it's sad that im posting about the fresh conference right after getting home, but hey the computer was alreay on and connected so hey.

Praystation was funny
DIK was a waste of time (read: complete shite)
Tree Axis read their talk but were ok
Tomato was interesting. I'm glad he mentioned John Maeda
Andy Polaine started well then annoyed everyone with the cartoons
Attik was a good talker
Yugop was interesting

Remeber Andrew if you are going to talk about "Communtiy" then talk about it. And if you are not going to stick around for the other speakers then you probably won't realise how shit you really were. If I was Jade I would have snapped your fat neck.

Why these people (read:design wankers) feel that when they are asked to talk that it means you can just crap on about yourself the whole time. The other talkers were thoughtful enough to cover the topic they were asked to speak on. Andrew could have been talking about any topic and it would have sounded the same. I just hope other people (ie people with some respect) will tell him that he was shit also. Please do otherwise he'll never learn.

Mmmmmmm how to spot me.

1: Shaved head (number 4 now I guess)

They had the "highest decorated

They had the "highest decorated soldier" from the US army on 60 Minutes tonight. He served in Korea and Nam. He talked about the the US's "War on Terrorism"

Now to me terrorism encompasses many groups. Yet this former soldier insisted on adding that the terrorist should be killed with "12x the force at which they use. There mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, kids, cousins (he added a few more i forgot), should all be killed and then they should all be wrapped in pork so they can't go to the holy land"

Mmmm, why would the IRA worry about being wrapped in pork. Oh yeah thats right the IRA haven't done anything to the US and thus won't be targetted by this "War on Terrorism". Let's hope this war on terrorism is actually that a war on all forms of terrorism world wide and not just in the US's best interests.

I really hope the KKK fall under the wide blanket that is the term "Terrorism"

Note: If you buy crappy cheap furniture and stack heavy books on it, then chances are that the wood is cheap also and will buckle.

On a side note: I have listened to both the new Bjork and New order CD and I'm not impressed. Every song on Bjorks CD sounds the same and New Orders (they were before my time) new CD has lyrics that wouldn't rival a junior high peotry comp for substance.

Seems that some people feel that games are "uesless" and "in the end will amount to nothing"

I personally find making games more rewarding than splash screens. If someone can't see the art in a nice game, even the reworking of a classic game, then I can't help them.

You look at a piece of design and say cool. Then you will want something new. A game, as long as it's fun, will get you coming back again and again.

netbabyworld is the best online games pertal I have seen. Great games, great design, fun and a good sense of community. The bowling game takes the cake.

I collected MAD magazines and now have this huge pile that I lug around. And will never read another.

Subject 3.14: How is "GIF" pronounced?

"GIF" is an acronymn for "Graphics Interchange Format." Despite the
hard "G" in "Graphics," GIF is pronounced "JIF." Although we don't
have a direct quote from the official CompuServe specification
released June 1987, here is a quote from related CompuServe documentation,
for CompuShow, a DOS-based image viewer used shortly thereafter:
"The GIF (Graphics Interchange Format), pronounced "JIF", was
designed by CompuServe ..."
We also have a report that the principal author of the GIF spec,
Bob Berry, pronounced it "JIF."

It seems Stargate SG1 is nearing it's 100th episode in America. Here is a great Stargate portal Mmmm get your Mum the Stargate soundtrack for Christmas she'll love you more for it

Stargate is still very far behind the immortal Walker Texas Ranger with 203 episodes under it's belt. And with episode titles like One Riot, One Ranger and Mr. Justice it's no wonder it went on so long.

Is there a 10th season for Chuck ?? Here's a great review of Walker Texas Ranger which any NON-Walker fan should read. It may be crap but it's the good kind of crap.

Excert from article: "On NASH BRIDGES, for example, the body count is close to as high as WALKER's. The cops on both shows kill people every week and don't really seem to care. But on NASH, there aren't routine trips to churches and attempts to get people from all racial backgrounds to get along, there's just a lot of Nash trying to get it on."

If Chuck Norris went up against McGuyver is a bout of fist-a-cuffs who would win?? (Note: Chuck has rumbled with Bruce Lee, McGuyver is really old)

Would Dark Angel accept the offer of a sex sandwhich between the two??
